Regular Meetings
The best way to become involved in the work of BHRC is by attending our regular meetings. These are held at Garden Court Chambers, 57-60 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, WC2A 3LS. The meetings are open, and all are welcome to attend. For more information, please contact the Project Coordinator.

One does not have to be a formal member in order to be involved in projects; indeed the Committee is very interested in new involvement. If you have a particular area of expertise and / or interest please forward brief details of these to the Project Coordinator.
Write Urgent Actions
BHRC encourages members of the public and members of the BHRC to write letters of concern to support our projects and to support letters of concern written by the BHRC. If you have a letter that you would like BHRC to send out or you would like information on where to send letters, please contact the Project Coordinator.
Vacancies
The BHRC is calling for applications for the Project Coordinator post. The Project Coordinator is responsible for project development and management, fundraising, budgets, report writing, organising Committee meetings and conferences, working with international lawyers and human rights defenders at home and abroad, liaising with Bar associations and communicating with governments and media.
The ideal candidate must be educated to degree (or equivalent) and, preferably, have experience in working in human rights organisations together with a proven ability in fundraising. Knowledge of international human rights and justice issues is useful. The programme of work you will be required to manage is varied and frequently changing. Sound political judgement is required. Previous project management experience and additional languages are highly desirable.

Terms and conditions
The Committee is currently reviewing the structure of the project coordinator position, and is accepting applications for the post as full-time and as a job share.
The full-time salary is £25,000 per annum with holiday allowance for 25 days per annum, not including statutory and national public holidays.
The post holder will be based in Central London.
The post holder must already have the legal right to work in the UK.
